📋 3 April 2026 | China issues trial measures for ethical review of AI technology: The Cyberspace Administration of China has drafted the Administrative Measures for Digital Virtual Human Information Services to promote the healthy development and standardized application of such services, soliciting public comments until 6 May 2026. These measures outline the responsibilities of service providers and users, emphasizing the protection of personal rights, the prohibition of harmful content, and the necessity for consent when using sensitive personal information. The draft encourages industry self-regulation, innovation, and adherence to social ethics, with penalties for violations including fines and service cessation.

📋 2 April 2026 | US Department of Labor, National Science Foundation announce collaborative efforts on AI workforce, TechAccess Initiative: The U.S. Department of Labor and the National Science Foundation signed an MOU to coordinate AI workforce efforts through NSF’s new TechAccess: AI-Ready America initiative. NSF is putting up to $224M toward 56 State/Territory Coordination Hubs to expand AI training and tools for workers and businesses, alongside Labor, Agriculture, and the Small Business Administration.
